I've been reading quite a few forum threads about this game and whether it needs a protection patch or not. People have posted here saying it doesn't, and it works with CloneCD (european version, like mine). I used CloneCD to copy it and it doesn't work. The playstation just seems to think it's a music CD or something.

I'm pretty new to this backup business, since I don't own a playstation and I'm only borrowing one at the moment. So just a couple of questions. Does this game really need a patch, and if not, what could I have done wrong in making this copy?

Well #####ing into it then i would say that the PAL version does not need a protection patch.

Are you sure that your burner is fully compatable with CloneCD? can you select the following settings.....

READ:-Read subchannel data from data track = ON
Read subchannel data from audio tracks = ON
Leave all the rest uncheked.
WRITE:-Don't repair subchannel data = ON
Always close last session = ON
Leave all the rest un#####ed.

If so then you shouldn't have any trouble, but if not then use CDRWin and leave all the settings as default!

Thanks for the reply...

Yes, I can ##### all those boxes. I've copied many PC games with my burner (a PlexWriter 12/10/32A) so that shouldn't be the trouble. I didn't know which settings I should have used, so I'll try again with the new settings.

Has the Playstation got a modchip installed?
Copied games will not work unless it has.
