Crazy Taxi for Ps2

Can anybody copy this game straight up disc to disc? I can get it to boot using the EA technique, but it freezes every time you get to the "select your driver" screen. This happened to me on 3 out of 3 discs. Any advice, a patch perhaps? I prefer not to patch, but if it must be.

I had the same problem, I couldn't get it to boot with the regular method and it would freeze with the EA method.

I can get it to boot using the regular method now, but it.
How I got it to work is to swap as soon as you select "without codes"

Do not wait for it to tell you to swap. Eject as soon as you hit x to select "without codes" and as soon as the screen comes up to tell you to swap hit x again to boot.

I maybe nothing, but it works for me.
