View Full Version : Cdrom Not Reading Psx2 CD
I just got Psx2 & i would like to make back-up but i pop in the game, and its if i haven't put anything in the CDrom?
Is this normal? Do i need a program to see it or is my cdrom?
I need find out whats going on, i'm abit lost & i'm searching the light.
If the PS2 'cd' you happen to have is actually a DVD then NO cd rom on earth will read it.
you need a dvd writer i don't know if you can buy them or how much they are
Forget the idea of a DVD writer as they cost over £2500.00 and at present there is no ripping software available that supports PS2 DVD's.
So there is no way to backup Psx2 games?
Yes, you can copy ps2 games... but ONLY non DVD ones.
The quickest way to tell if a game is a dvd or cdr is look at the back.
If its purpleish, its a cdr and can be read/copied. If it has a gold back its a DVD and cant be read by a normal cdr drive.
Hmm so if i had a dvdrom i would be able to see whats on dvd format?
But in order to burn psx2 dvd format games i would need a dvd burner?
Pez,Not Exactly !
If you want to know more do a Search on this forum.
You'll see how easy it is to burn DVD games.
