problems copying Spyro 2 & 3 help please

i have a new LG 8080b which is clonecd supported, but doesnt support writing in "RAW-DAO" & "Dont repair sub channel data", i have tried to copy both spyro 2 & 3 and both seems to copy fine but, when playing both games the hang when starting new levels of the game. is my writer no good or am i doing something wrong. My old writer was a hp 2*2*6 and i never had any problems. Any info i would be very grateful

By the sounds of it your not doing anything wrong, at least nothing major.

Unforntunately you burner is not fully campatable clone so you wont get a working backup of spyro 3 as none of the patches work either!

But spyro 2 you can get by using CDRWin, PPF-O-Matic and a patch, all available from www.megagames.com.

thanks for you help, if i could pick your brains again, so before on my old hp writer i used to patch any game as you mentioned above, then it would work, so what im trying to establish is, if there was a patch for spyro 3 that worked, would i be able to copy it in cdrwin and add the patch, or is it my writer that wont copy any psx games. also someone mentioned about usiing tdk cdrs for copying and then the game would work, is this true ?

The question about IF there was a patch is ridiculous - there just isn't any working ones.
Use dark blue dye cds for PSX, TDK are fine but on their own will not allow a copy of any game to work.

sorry you are mis-understanding me, all i am trying to establish is, if my LG 8080b writer is capable of copying psx games whether or not the game needs a patch. because if its not i will return it, does any kind person know if spyro 2 & 3 both need patches, as i have tried to copy both, with no luck with the patches and without the patches. i was told that the lg is ok for copying psx games, does anyone own the same writer as me who can possibly help me with any info.

if you what to make a working copy of spyro 3 you need a burner which is 100% compatible with cd clone that write is not 100% compatible so NO IT WILL NOT COPY SPYRO 3 if you you what that make of burner get a LG CED 8120B as its 100% comapible with clone yes they do need to be patch but there is NO WORKING PATCH FOR SPYRO 3

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP, THERE IS A NEW PATCH FOR SYPRO 3, WHICH CLAIMES TO 100% WORK AS THE OLD ONE DIDNT. I HAVE JUST COPIED IT AND APPLIED THE PATCH SUCCESFULLY, BURNT IT BACK ON TO CD. BUT STILL IT DOES NOT WORK. WHEN IT BOOTS UP WITH THE BLACK SCREEN THE TEXT IS MISSING AND YOU CAN ONLY SEE THE TWO LETTERS 'P' AND SCREEN GOES NO FURTHTER. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS TROUBLE BEFORE WITH COPYING & PATCHING GAMES. DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF I USE THE TDK CDRS WILL IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE ? IM BEGINING TO GET REALLY PI**ED OFF WHEN THE BLOODY THING. ANY HELP PLEASE

OK, once again thanks, so can anyone tell me if the lg 8080b writer will copy any psx games whether they need a patch or not. Also what is the situation for spyro 2 uk version, does this need a patch ? many thanks. sorry for the trouble.

yes it should copy games which need patch or not just use cdrwin & ppf-o-matic the patch for SPYRO 2 does work
