Heya's

I'm looking into get myself a DVD burner...
I plan to burn PS2 games and DVD movies...

I was gonna get the :
Pioneer DVR-A03 Atapi
DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW Writer

But i was reading this quote on there site....

Copyrighted material with copy-protection cannot be duplicated.

Is this true or are they just saying that to puit ppl off?

I would mostly like to copy DVd movies i guess....
Would this be hard to do? or is there a easy way of getting around this so called copy protection ?

Thanx ppl....

DVD movies arent like PS2 dvd games DVD movies are on a compressed DVD which means you cant just make a 1 to 1 copy you would most likely have to take stuff out just like when you copy a PS2 DVD game on to a cdr besides what would be the point of burning DVD's the DVDR's are so expensive its just not worth it on the other hand the Pioneer is perfect for copying PS2 games

Heya's

Thanx for clearing that up for me :)
Hmm tha kinda sux about DVD movies.... :(
u think that burners would be able to burn them without ripping shit out :((((

So with ps2 games.... would i still need to apply patches of some sort? or direct 1:1 copy?

Well actually I'm no expert or anything but with the right software yes you can make a 1 to 1 copy of PS2 DVD games. As for DVD movies yes you can make copys of them but like I said it's not practical and not easy

go to
####://www.divx-digest.com/articles/index.html#ripping

It will give you an idea of how much little work there realy is in backing up a "45 quid" ps2 game and dvd movies.

The A03 is popular (ten million chinese people cant be wrong about rice) so how many people can be wrong about an A03. Go for it!!!
