how to copy is pro for psx2

Do I need a patch for iss pro on the psx2 or can i just copy the disc? Where do i find out if a game needs to be patched or can just be copied.

Thanks, but i use a yamaha burner which is not supported by cd clone, i can use nero, cdrwin or cd mate, can i just do a straight copy using these or then do i need a patch?
