I have been trying to copy and merge patches for my NTSC/UC Resident Evil Survivor game. I cant get it to work. I have Nero version 5 a basic cd burner. Puuuuuuleeeeesssseeee someone help me!
If you need to patch then Nero is useless.
You need CDRWin http://www.goldenhawk.com
The instructions for applying the patch will be included with the patch itself.
Read the .nfo file with notepad.
first of all d\load PPF-O-MATIC then d\load CDRWIN (demo version) then d\load the patch then copy image to your h\drive using CDRWIN then open PPF-O-MATIC find where your image is saved (you want it in the same folder as your patch) then apply path when it says PATCH APPLIED SUCCESFUL BURN CD, burn it back to cdr using CDRWIN and you should have a working copy good luck :)
Resident Evil Survivor is an unprotected CD (well the PAL version is anyway) because i made my copy using CDRWIN but didn't use any patches at all, just copied the CD like i would any other normal CD.
Just try burn it with the standard Copy CD option in Nero and it should burn a straight off copy that'll work with your chipped psx. Unless u want to add some trailers (cheats) or a PAL->NTSC convertor, in which case, yes u will need to patch it and yes u will need a copy of CDRWIN.

The NTSC version is anti-mod chip protected.
The patch is available at http://www.megagames.com/console/psx_patches.htm
