sorry if this sounds ignorant....but how do you patch a .bin file when the patch isnt a pff patch???

could someone help (the game being Quake 2)...or suggest a walk through I could use

Well its a mtsc game and I have a pal system(chipped)

I could try again....the old routine...scan disk,defrag etc....fingers crossed it works

So you have a pal consol and a ntsc version of quake II. yes you do need to patch the image to get it to run correctly.

Take a look in the Utils page and look for the PAL4U series.

Pal4U 2000 is the scanner which generates the .P4U files. P4UPATCH effectively applies the patch.
