i'm new to this an i dont know exactly what to about the patches and everything. can some one help me with this. i have an hp cd-writer 9100. I need help.

All the info you need is on the megagames.com site. Go to the psx patches link and their is a brief description there. More info can be found out about cdrwin or ppf-o-matic by clicking in the psx utilities link. The rest is just a bit of reading and practice.
Start off with unprotected games and learn to use cdrwin, once efficient at this start to try to patch games with ppf-o-matic. The whole process is very simple.
