ps2 cd tray

I chipped my ps2 and checked all solder connections, it will play games ok but the cd tray opens fast and hard. It will not close unless you push it closed...thanks for any help.

check pins 5 and 6 these are the problems they the ones that comunicate with the cd tray

make sure you have not trapped the 5&6 wires on the metal ribbon cable as the metal frame is quite sharp and may have caused a short. This is what happened to me with the same symptoms. Just rerouted the cables and is fine now.
