Boot CD ?

Do I need a boot cd or not when running backups with a Mod chip installed?

Hi,

The most popular BOOT CD for the PS2 at the mo is the REGION X, great value for money plus boots up games quicker then a AR2 or Extreme FM (So ive heard). But i also read somewhere the other day that they are going to dis-continue the REGION X, so get in there quick if you want one.
