MODCHIP WILL NOT WORK HELP

I HAVE INSTALLED A MODCHIP IN MY PSX WHEN I LOAD GAMES IF NOT BACKUP COPYS LAY LOAD OK BUT IF THAY ARE BACKUPS THE GAMES FREEZ AND PLAY AND FREEZ AND SO ON PLEASE HELP IS MY LAZER NO GOOD IT MAKE FUNNY NOISE WHEN BACKUP GAMES LOAD.THANKS

if the lazer motor makes a warbling sound on back ups it is most prob that the lazer is on its way out. this may be improved by turning your psx upside down. This is most apparent on the 100X models. what version is yours?

if the game just skips usually noticed in the fast moving video game intros then it is the fault of the copy disc...burning at to high speed for example. My bet is it is you psx.

take a trip to these links you may be able to improve your lazer for a while atleast.
