I have a neokey, or i guess its also called sbox maybe too? anyways its a external modchip and i assume it doesn't load dvdr backups from what i've read so i need a new modchip. i have a US (v5 i'm pretty sure) ps2 and so if i got a new modchip would i have to unsolder the wire i already have in there? is that possible? and which modchip do you suggest, charlie or whomoever for booting dvdrs? and is there a place i can buy the modchip from in the US that will also install and uninstall it and the wires and the wire i already have in? thanks a ton!

if its v5 then neo2.2 u will have probs loading dvdr as ar 1.7 and 1.9 not work on v5(used for dvdr backup) but ive half tested and it bbots ORIGANAL game behind fmxtreme on v5 non chipped so could work but no neo to try it on backups
origa get latest version earlier ones dont boot dvdr
but i wait for messiah "bootmaster" "gameslayer"
has always been reported as pal only
but now starting to c ntsc supported as well
but stiill even pal hard to get your hands on

Neo2.2 & Origa to roughly the same thing; Neo2.2 does about 75% of the Origa functionality. Origa will boot import originals (very useful indeed) and the DVDR boot process is simple and not timing dependent as per NEO2.2.
Don't worry about the 1 wire. It's common to both chips (I believe) and if I'm wrong, the installer of the chip will deal with it. Either chip should be professionally installed if you're not a soldering whizzo. Origa is much more difficult to do than NEO2.2

I read the tutorial that dal posted and instead of AR 1.9 (what is AR?) would it work with GS2 v 1.6? And do you guys know of a company in the US where i can buy the chip and have them install it and solder the wires?
