2001 games which don't work with Mod chip?

i have heard that the game companies have put hacks on games which stop them working with the mod chip for 2001, is this just old news and the stealth mod chip or fixed this or is it a new problem?

I had the same problem with GD2K1
I received the following error when trying out a copy of the above:

"Your console may have been modified call-Some stupid tele#- SOFTWARE TERMINATING".
Can someone help with the fix to this problem. I used the Black Bottom "Sony" CDR's, Nero 5, and have a TDK VeloCD burner.
My PC has more than enough of everything to support the task. What's going wrong?????
