My ps2 cd backups are not working!!!

I've recently bought a ps2 with a modchip and dvd region and when I try to play to my cd backups, they doesn't work! I have a Phillips CCD 3610 writer and I have tried with cdclone and blindwrite. I've tested other backups from other people and they work on my ps2, but I have tried to backup them without result.
I think that the problem is that my writer is so old that is not able to write data subchannels with cd clone. If this is the problem, there is any solution apart from changing the writer?

In that situation there is little you can do if the game has no workaround patch that could be applied with CDRWin. Patching is bad news. CloneCD is good news but you need a fully compatible burnewr (RAW-DAO+96)
