swap trick ps2 ????

i've got a guestion about the swap trick. when i open my ps2 and i want to get the white disk, have i to break the black disc to get the white one?

just peel the black ring on top off and you can remove the white magnetic lock. It's just a sticker on there. Metalic sticker I mean...
