I want to disassemble my USB-Mod because it sucks. I have never been able to boot any copy, instead of PSXīs. Now I want to know if anybody may help me with the description of the Chip in my USB-Mod: 12c508a, 04/P82J, 0118
Thats it. Is this a Neo2 or a Neo2.2 ?
And if I take it out of the USB-Mod, do I have to (I think so) connect any capacitor to my PS2-Motherboard ? And which type of Capacitor do I need ?
My PS2 is PAL, SCPH30004, 8-screwed, should be V4.

Please post some ideas if this is worth a try.

thx

It's a neo2, dont waste your time with it order a messiah,neo 2.2 or origa-chip.

So what would you commend me to take ?
I made the mistake to buy this USB-Shit, because I didnīt wanted to solder like hell, but although I have a v4, which is said to be the worst to disassemble, I repent that I didnīt take a look first, because itīs very simple.
Which chip lives in your PS2, or which one do you want to have living in it ?
I donīt believe in these Messiah-Stories because itīs available anywhere.
And I donīt care to swap a bit, I just want it ASAP !
How about Starchip ?

thx for reply
