Hi, I recently purchased a modded PS2 from Hong Kong. It's a model [NTSC/J]SCPH-30000. I use DVD RegionX to boot my PS2 backups without any problems. I however don't know what chip is inside my PS2. I really wanted to play Final Fantasy X which is an original. However I tried everything and nothing can play it. I wouldn't mind having it modified again so I can play this game. I appreciate any posts and comments.
Also: What's this Messiah chip I heard about?

If your JAP PS2 won't boot US FF X (and thanks for confirming its release in the US, it means my copy will be here next week) then you don't have the OrigaChip for JAP. Thay's what you need as there is no NTSC MEssiah chip.
####://www.origachip.com for details on the chip (pay attention to what they say about 30000) and then contact lik-sang.com by e-mail. They have the chips.

Hmm... So this Origa chip is basically what I need? Charlie, you're right, the FFX is the US version. Any other suggestions on what I can do?
OrigaChip is your only available option. Lik-Sang have them in stock. I just ordered two for a couple of spare 15000s
