is there a mod-chip for playstation 2 that that doesnt require soldiering. if so where can i get it

If you search the forum on this subject the wisdom given will be to have the PS2 modded with a soldered chip. By virtue of the wires directly soldered to key points on the PS2, there are greater degrees of control and stealth offered that vastly improve the range of backups that will play on the modded PS2.

No, you must solder one wire for the neo key usb modchip, As charlie said you would be better off getting a internal modchip installed.

Hi,

I agree get yourself a internal mod-chip, ive got a NEO2.2 mod and its the business, The NEO4 is due for release soon, which a "no boot cd needed" to boot backups chip. It will even make the tea,wash your socks and wake you up in the morning. Okay it wont do those things but it is a serious piece of kit and like Charlie explained you can get the full low down on current mods @ playstationmods.com

There is also a list of chippers who will fit a chip for you for a fee if your not 2 hot at Soldering.
