When does Crash Bash detect the mod chip during play?

I burned Crash Bash using cdrwin at 1X and I just tried it out for a few minutes, played a few games and it worked fine!! Its the north american version, and I was just wondering because Nhl 2001 stopped when I tried to pick a choice from the game menu, and Spyro 3 stopped when I pressed any button. So just let me know when your backup of Crash Bash stops.
