Spiderman - Weird backup..

I burned Spiderman using CloneCD, but I'm getting something kinda weird when I try to play the game. It boots up and all, goes to the black psx screen..then shows the little Activision movie..but then it just goes black and stays that way. I've never has this happen before, so I'm wondering what is going on? Usually, if I've made a bad burn it just sticks at the white or black psx intro screens...
Anyone else ever experience this?

The same sort of thing happened to me when I tried to backup THPS2. It loaded to the intro FMV and then just froze. I just tried copying again and it worked perfectly. I don't know if this will help, but anyway...
