DC manufacture date

How do you date an UK DC? They are not printed with a manufacture date on the bottom like the US ones, I need one dated before Oct/2000 .Ive seen 2 S/H ones today, they where marked HKT 3030, Does any one know if this model boots all Cdr. ok?
