Never mind the "power of the Playstation".

What about the "power of the Forum"?!

Is the Forum with you or what - where other forums have gone to ludwig this Forum gathers strength. AshestoAshes (he's not a member yet) and Dust2Dust (he is) DAL SIMply no better forum, NightstalkerNightstalker.

I have a question regarding the AR2 then...

I have the AR2v2 together with the NEO2.5DVD-R. Okay, I understand I wont be able to boot DVD-R's unless I use the 1.9 or 1.7. But, I could not find the 1.7/1.9 at all. Can I just download an image of the 1.9/1.7 from the net, burn it and use it? will the PS2 accept it? or I need to get an original disk? or it is related to the AR2 card itself?

Can I use RegionX in order to boot DVD-R's?

Thanks,

Oren M.

No you need GS2/1.9 ot AR2/1.7

I've not got the URL immediately to hand but if you search the Forum on PrimoDVD, one of my posts contains a URL with the word PACIFIC in ite. That's got those downloads for you to burn with CDRWin.

You boot AR2/1.7 as a backup behind AR2/1.x or DVDR-X for that matter!

Thanks much Charlie!
I got da site and currently downloading the AR1.7.

Just to make sure I understand it properly, after I burn the AR17 image on a CD, I should load it using my AR2v2 just as I load a regular CD backup, and then use it to swap DVD-R?

Thanks again,

OM.

ANSWER: I hope so! I have no experience of AR2v2 because I tried it with DVDR-X. But in principle it should work and I have seena post from the USA where someone has done this with GS2 (the US coiunterpart to AR2).

So just do it - at worst it'll cost you a coaster and let us all know.

I've never done this before but try renaming the BIN file to ISO and see what PrimoDVD does.

There are other methods that I haven't tried using a utility called CDMAGE to break the BIN up into parts that can be burned via PrimoDVD.

I'll do some more research but in the meantime do try what I've suggested above. Not sure whether PrimoDVD will accept the cuesheet.
