modchip vs. neokey [Archive]

I currently have V2 PS2 and V1.8 Gameshark. I have yet to get the cog method to work and am interested in getting either a modchip or a neokey. Can anyone offer any input on which is better?

best 1 at moment is MESSIAH
no swap methods

PS2 Modchips are becoming rare items right now owing to the legal action being taken by Sony. For what my opinion is worth, if you can find a #####r with NEO 2.5 or NEO2.2, get that whacked in quick smart. The only thing it won't do is direct boot backups or import originals; the former remains a swap process and the latter the same after you've CloneCD copied it or PrimoDVD'd it.

You won't find a Messiah anywhere; nor NEO4 and Origa supplies have dried up so far as I know.
