Okay, here's the case, I have heard you people keep saying that DJ doesn't work because the bunrer and the program don't go along together, but it happens to me that---my friend and I both have a same burner, but DJ works on his computer and mine doesn't work (we are using the same version of DJ)
Can anyone tell me why? Does anyone know how to make DJ works on a computer (Could it be the invalid serial key we enter while we are registering the product, etc?
A lot of people would like to know the fact, so EXPERTS, come help us!

Could be a difference of firmware or manufacturer's date between your two burners. You can check firmware in Start->Settings->Control Panel->System->Device Manager
As for a compatibility, never seen one yet, but you can never go wrong with Plextor.
General rule of thumb:
1) Avoid cheap burners
2) Avoid no name burners
3) Avoid burners usually sold in Best Buy or Circuit City, etc. (Usually horrible burners, order online)

FYI: About no-name burners... I use a "Pacific Digital 8x8x32" CDRW which is actually a Samsung SW-408B. It works nicely.

We have the same firmware and manufacture date, and our burners are no-name brand...but hell, my friend's work and mine doesn't, NO FAIR!
