Hi all. I've tried to burn Crazy Taxi 2 Jap(eurasia) with dj 3 and cdrwin.
When i put it in my DC (PAL), start the eurasia intro, press start, then after 3-4 min of black screen, the game starts. When i select a game mode the loading screen take up 4 mins, then the race begin. Also there is a text on the screen who say "check cd". I've used Verbatim and TDK to burn. The game is dummyed and selfbooting. My cdrw is a Plexw1210a.
I've the same problem with 18 Wheelers USA(echelon). The game starts with no prob, but when i select a game mode (eg arcade) the "now loading screens" take too much time (and the race never start). Also with this i've used different brand of cd (74 and 80 min) and also this is dummied and sboot. (burned with dj 3)
What's wrong? My DC? The dummy file?

Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

Hi. There are no scratch, finger or anything else on the cds (are new and clean).

I've tried to do also Super Magnetic Neo (kalisto). The first burn don't load (lock at about 97% of loading). I removed the dummy file and make it self booting and all works fine.

I also think that the problem may be the dummy file. Is it possible?

Today i try to remove the dummy from the 2 prev rel.

the dummy data is your problem! i've got all the above games & 200 others and the only game i've ever had to add dummy data to is crazy taxi (the original)

Hohoho. It really seems that my prob are those dummy data.
Now, the question is: WHY?

Why this happen? Why dummy, whos usefull for most users, give me such problem?

Bollocks the dummy data has nothing to do with it !! The DC is very fussy about reading disks, i would suggest lowering the write speed to x2 or even x1, the laser on the DC is having trouble finding the data you could also try cleaning the lens.
