i downloaded UFC and when i went to use DJ it said tha .cdi was unknown...anyone know y it would show that?

The most common reason for that error is that you have a different version of dj than the one that the image was made with.

ei: you have dj v3 and the file was made with the earlier v2

The way to fix it is to get the other version and run the cdi. file through it.

but if it's a dj v2 cdi get the "CDI Conversion Utility v0.2" to convert the v2 cdi file into a v3 cdi file then you can burn it with dj 3
