Is there a faster way to rip besids dc -> serial cable? I dont want to melt my dc and I cant stand waiting 24 hours. =]

Broadband adapter, if you can find one and afford it.

I can't tell you how to use it or what software you need though.

Warning, BBA's are about $100+ on Ebay and that's about the only place you'll find one.

One other possibility (extremely remote), you could get a GD-ROM drive and hook it up to your PC. The likelyhood of this, though, is near impossible.

If you can find a drive that will read the entire GD-ROM, I guess that would probably work. You'll still have to rip the AUDIO tracks, although you might be able to SAMPLE the audio if you can't rip it.

The main thing is you have to be able to read the game data from the disc.

Oh, and if you're an EE (Electronics Engineer), you might attempt to design a BBA, although most people wouldn't be able to tackle such a feat without at least a schematic. It might even be possible to rig an ISA network adapter to the DC, but I wouldn't have a clue where to ####t. It might be easier to just build a BBA from the ground up.

One concern is that the BBA probably has a BIOS inside that you won't get if you build your own, therefore the DC may not act correctly with a home-brew BBA.

This BBA is obviously more than just a cable. =]

I'll see if I cant find the website that was talking about the Yamaha drive. Supposedly it has some software with it that you can simply copy each track then go through and downsample as needed and burn on regular cd-r. Course it does sound too easy to be true and I could not find a Yamaha 400at model on at http://www.yamaha.com

the bba you put in the dc where now your modem is in. per ethernetcable, you put it on an ethernetcard on your pc
