$110 is relatively cheap, Sega stopped making these things almost as soon as they came out. Scour Ebay, that's about the only place where the price MIGHT be under $100.

Odd, I heard that you were able to play ### with the BBA, but sega didn't support/advise it

I guess this is probably a silly question, but didn't your cable company give you an auxilliary dialup connection (for when you're out of town and such)?
My DSL company (SBC Communications) provided me with a dialup in addition to my DSL connection. It came in handy when I was on vacation.

Hah, Road Runner supply me with an auxilary anything?! Yeah right. About the only good thing they gave me, beyond the service, was the Toshiba cable modem. They gave me a crappy Ovislink NIC card and the equivalent of CAT3 cable, not CAT5, upon close inspection both ends of the "CAT5" cable were not fully punched down. Enough moaning from me.

Nope i didn't get a dialup either, my provider is charter. and you can get in with all the cable modems i know of but charter's modems are funny and rigged but i just figured out to get on with it so i'm back on and happy =}
