It ####ts looking at the disc, but it goes whiiiirrrrrrrrrrrr *pause* whiiiirrrrrrrrrr *pause* whiiiirrrrrrrrrr *pause* then it doesnt load right and goes to the CD screen or sayas 'please insert game disc'???

The whirring is the laser unit moving back and forth... it always tries 3 times before giving up...

do any of yours do this? This only happens on certain games.. (TXR2, and Soul Calibur for me)

Happens all the time to me, the DC is overheating. Let it sit for awhile.

Also ##### your CDs, Soul Calibur and TXR2 are pretty old by now, so you should have scratches and other nasties building up on it, and the ink may also be fading or something, something Wayne mentioned before.

When in doubt, reburn, reburn, reburn.

Hmm... this only happens with these two games, and original real games are fine...
It could be the heat coz it onlyhappens if i put it in after i played something...

The CDs are new, SC was burned a month ago, and my TXR2 was just a couple weeks ago... TXR2 did this the first time i played it...

I had the same problem with my games. Bur for me it wasn't a overheating prob. It was the first audio session that won't let the gaem boot properly. I found out if I use bin2boot, where the audio session is placed behind the data session, and the audio is burned in ISO format, the game boot perfectly. Just try another burning method.

Sonick, go to http://dcxeal.virtualave.net/buffer.html
Just follow this guide and make sure to UNCHECK OPEN NEW SESSION, when burning the the header.iso!!!

You might also need the newest version of BIN2BOOT. The one that was floating around DCCOPYWORLD a while back was several versions older than the newest and wouldn't work with all .ISO images (it couldn't find the IP.BIN file in some cases).

The newest file is found here: http://dcxeal.virtualave.net/b2b-cdda-b1.zip
