do dvd copies of psx2 work with the neo usb key ?
only i've backed up a copy using primo dvd but it won't load using the ar2 disk. I'm new to ps2 i can play ps1 back ups ok

I posted this earlier for another member, Here's how, Load gameshark2 V1.9 into ps2, in your case it will be the AR2, turn on modchip, select start game, swap gameshark2 with original dvd game, i use doa2, wait about 15 sec then select without codes let disc stop then use card method to open tray and swap dvd original with dvr backup and press O+R1. A usb mod is like having a neo2 installed using the 5 wire install. Because you dont use pins 3,5 and 6 you cannot use the EA boot sequence to open the tray by this i mean you cannot hold reset for 10 sec and release to open the tray so wwith dvr backups you will have to use the card method to open the tray for the final swap.....I dont encourage anyone to do the card swap with there PS2 because you can ruin the console. The best thing for you to do is to buy a internal modchip that supports dvdr backups

Fitted an internal neo 2 last night but can't get it to run coppied dvd games, could it be my coppies,
installed primo dvd and just saved to hard drive then made a disk from the gi image. Is there any particula setup i need to do ? it plays psx and non dvd back ups o.k

Try using the double swap method and dvdr copy tutorial described at www.ps2ownz.com.

use devil may cry demo as the dvd original. it has the largest TOC of ps2 dvd games, and should boot all dvdr's.
