Not receiving activation emails

In the last few weeks (since January, 2023), (would-be) users are reporting not getting their activation email upon registration, even trying from various email providers and checking their spam folder. This may or may not be related to our other problem: spamming from hacked accounts (see other sticky). Sorry about that! We moderators can't do anything about it, you'll have to wait until our admin, Empire, arrives.

Missed this post, sorry!

There is a big problem with the number of accounts being created with dummy email addresses which do not exist. We do not have a clue why spammers would create them as you can not do anything with them as they never get validated...

We have been deleting thousands of these email addresses

That is the reason why our mail account has been blocked, this will be fixed in the next few days!

The problem has been resolved and activation emails will be send again!

And an additional anti-bot system has been put in place to avoid these kinds of email blocks and should stop most of the bots & spammers!

Sorry that this happend!

Note: The anti-bot system is active for 15 minutes and it caught 750+ bot requests already... unbelievable!
