View Full Version : Question about Edison007's Dunia Engine Recompressor

Hi all,

Does anyone have a copy of Edison007's Dunia Engine Recompressor (https://krinkels.org/threads/dunia-engine-recompressor.3790/)? I'm unable to get it from the Krinkles forum, as I don't have anything to contribute, and as such I'm unable to get the required points to be able to download files from this forum.

I'm aware of Razor's Dunia plugin, however I'm curious to see the differences (if any) and also to test Edison007's tool on the title "Far Cry 2", as this title isn't supported by Razor's plugin. Far Cry 2 (As well as the Avatar movie-videogame-tie-in) uses Dunia v1 aka a Cry Engine fork, and I'm interested in seeing whether possible modifications to this re-compressor could be applied to allow for compatibility with earlier Cry Engine titles.

Damn that's disappointing to hear, I've been wanting to take a looksie at this tool for a while, fingers crossed one day it's shared outside that forum!

For anyone reading this in the future, if you have a copy of this tool, please reach out! I'm not looking to get anyone banned, just to have a look at this piece of software.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea. While I don't agree with not distributing software for any reason, we should respect that other forum's rules. (If we don't, how can we expect people to respect ours?!)

It's Edison's own software, he can share whereever he want to ;)
