1. Install the game. Update game to latest version + DLC (Dead Kings DLC), apply NO-CD if necessary.

1A. Goto Gamefolder, Sounddata\PC, & REMOVE unneeded language files.
(I Chose Eng only & saved 3.75GB )

2. Download attachment, extract to HD, NOT in Gamefolder.

2A. MOVE Support folder to Conversion Output folder 1.

DVD5 - 4.37GB
DVD6 - 4.37GB
DVD7 - 4.37GB
DVD8 - 4.37GB

What you have installed is whats compressed. so you have it installed it will be archived.

volume threshold is based on largest file it finds in your gamefolder.

The largest file in the game is DataPC_ACU_Paris_gi.forge
Is there anyway for that file to be split?

Will it split the whole lot in to 9xDVD5?

Thanks for the new installer. The problem I am having is that when I run UltraARC, I select the Source folder, Output folder and compression methods delta, lzma, srep. But it won't let me press Start. For some reason it is greyed out.

yes, tested with latest update + DLC for the game. Installed from conversion installed files VS original game files all 100% match.

try using the newest Ultraarc. take a look at the settings in the ultraarc.ini & use those in the new version of UA, so they match.

Huh.Thats weird, i got 8dvd`s ,game is v1.5+DLC.And it packs and unpacks correctly (at least it seem to size wise) but unistaller spews out an error:
Runtime Error (at -1:0)

So there is wrong version of UA packed in the rars in the first post ? its 2.1.
Also i used the novideo setup.Im gonna look for newer UA then.

Well i redid the conversion using UA 2.3, and uninstall still doesnt work, same error.Anyone know why would be great help.Just for the kick of it im gonna test if it fits on 6dvd without the dead kings dlc.

re-uploaded new EXE's that should no longer have that uninstall bug. Just replace your setup.* files from new V2 files.

I am having real problems with the conversion. I manage to convert the installed game in to the DVD5's. The main problem I have is when I install the converted game, it merges all the cab files together but does not extract that merged file in to the install location. It just says the installation is finished.

Do you know why this is the case? I have made the conversion a few times but it has the same result.

Make sure the HD your installing to has at least 80GB freespace, temp files 40GB + game files once extracted about the same. Also make sure you've uninstalled original version prior to installing the conversion one.

Hi there,

I am still having real problems with installing the conversion.

It merges all the cab files together, after that it says the installation is finished. In the folder where the game is installed is The Uninstall folder and GameuxInstallHelper.dll

It does not extract any of the merged cab file.

Please can you tell me what could be wrong?

I have over 100GB free on the install drive and my C drive.

you still need 2400 base, but overwrite with new update, then retry.
Don't use existing ultraarc.ini, use new one, but keep same settings from old version + add to the new one exceptions unins* so it skips original uninstall files. OR move them out of folder & rearchive using newest UA.

I just wanted to send you an update.

I managed to get the conversion fully working. I moved GameuxInstallHelper.dll and the uninstall files out of the install folder and then ran the compression.

I installed the conversion perfectly.

I also compared them both with Better Compare.

Would you be able to update the Unity thread to let people know to move them files out before starting the conversation.

Made as of this writing, I used the 2.4.0.0 version and the UltraARC.ini put only the name of the folder and the Unity_ Exclusions unins *, more or needed because they had removed the game folder, and even then of the problem.

what are your system specs? do you have freearc installed? whats your system drive letter? which directory are you running ultraarc from? what is the ACU directory? use dss to give me structure of the game and export configuration and upload it here.
i'll need all that info to fix the problem since y'all don't want to use the team viewer idea.

Everything works fine. I managed to make the conversion.

In the end I removed the Uninstall files and GameuxInstallHelper.dll and I seemed to fix the issue I had installed the converted game.

folder from the old version into the new one, then run it. It should work without issues.

change your output folder. Make a ACU_Temp folder on C & put that as your Output folder rather then desktop.

If you have another HD / partition then use that is even better. Not a good idea if at all possible to have temp & game on same partition. But some people have no choice.

Turn off your antivirus during the compression process too.

Hello, compile successfully achieved with spa and sfx sound files. What I did was delete the UltraARC.ini the line "FreeARC = SREP, delta, lzma" with "FreeARC =", then run ultraarc.exe, complete source and output and start. They were 9 folders and 10, I say if anyone else has problems or want to fix it. Thank You

Hello, already solved the problem, I went back to do the conversion and I am all right, the conversion remained on 7 dvd !!!, better than 9. Let me explain a little details that I had and how you perform to make it better .

1- Install Assassins Creed Unity
2- Update fully patched, 1.2-1.3-1.4-1.5 and apply crack, in this case 1.5
3- Remove the languages ​​that are not necessary, in my case I chose Spanish, but also had to leave the sfx sound files because the game no started, pulling mistake acu.exe stopped working. (Image1)
4- Download Unity Conversion_V2.rar the 2 parts and no video.
5- Remove Unity Conversion UltraARC.ini V2 and edit the file. In the line that says "FreeARC = SREP, delta, lzma" leave well "FreeARC =" and save the file. (Image2)
6- UltraARC.exe Run, go to options and tick SREP, delta and lzma. (Image3)
7- Choose source where it is installed Assassins Creed Unity, in my case "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Assassin's Creed Unity"
8- Choose the folder where you extracted output "Unity Conversion_V2"
9- Give start. The compilation slow me like 4 hours to me, I have intel I5 4670, 8 gb ram, windows 8.1.
10- When finished removing all Unity_NovideoV2.rar, go to Unity_1 (the Unity_NovideoV2 folder) and copy all the files inside and replace those who are in the conversion, I mean "Unity Conversion_V2 / Unity_1".
11. Burn the iso from the folder or test if it works.

To me they left me 7 dvds with these sizes:

1- 4.37GB
2- 4.37GB
3- 4.37GB
4- 4.37GB
5- 4.37GB
6- 4.37GB
7- 3.21GB

The game is perfectly installed in many less dvds, and error free. I had to use file novideo because otherwise the dvd1 going to have 4.54gb not enter a DVD5. I hope this can serve them all. Greetings and thanks to pakrat2k2 for their contributions and help in my conversion. Greetings To You

The Conversion uses UltraARC but you can choose to compress with WinRAR, from within UA, but have no clue as to what the differences will be in output.

As far as I can see it creates a data.cab. I think compression algorithm doesn't interfere with installation.

Unity_1 is slightly bigger than a dvd: 4.57 gb.

you can use WinRAR in the program but you still need to specify maximum size for first dvd

Ok, my mistake, I didn't set first dvd in path screen.
7zip should be better than rar, although freearc (that I am too lazy to download) should be faster in the process of compression.

The output should be the same, and for the normal user it's just clicking the setup.exe and installing.

Another question: is there any way to change data.cab name? Now I get data1a, data1b... I would like numerals as data1 data2 data3.

Edit: freearc is not included in rar packages, isn't? I don't have those options.

no that's the way UA works, & if you want freearc then you must install it.

Can you explain what exception list do?
Does it mean it won't be included in my splitted archive and therefore not installed in new installation?

Freearc: I gave a try with "srep, delta, lzma" and it just quits at 10%.
Using freearc gives me an E.T.A. of 5 hours versus 2 hours of 7zip, I don't know why - even if would work for me with freearc, would it speed up installation later?

Here's my procedure:
- decompressing Unity Conversion_V2, with the backbone of the conversion;
- decompressing UA_2400_03172015.rar in overwrite under Unity Conversion folder.
Then I select good installation, first folder (unity_1 with exe), output.
Freearc isn't working so I shall go with 7zip.

At this point even with a good splitted archive, I do have the corrupt dll on unistall. It's a common problem it seems.

Now I am trying a repack with that exact dll as exclusion but ... do I have to install it manually after?

make sure you replace UltraARC.exe with the newest version. The exe's for UA in this conversion is an older version, & may be why your having issues. Also make sure to have at least double game size freespace on OS drive. Look to see if session.ini exists in your folder where Ultraarc is, if its there just restart ultraarc to resume its process.

Used version "novideo" and latest UltraArc from the other archive and I cannot make the conversion:

"Failed to create Data1.cab"

Gee, no shit, sherlock, I think. The author of UltraArc definitely could, I dunno... MAKE MESSAGES MORE SPECIFIC? As it stands I cannot give out any more details as to why this fails. It just does.

EDIT:

OK, found a reason. Basically, it was the fault of UltraArc.ini.

Here's how it looked:

NEEDLESS TO SAY, it wouldn't work. I put the methods where they belong and changed the setting under [Compressor] to True. LeSigh.

EDIT: and again, for some reason, it just went off, during the first data file's compression, no less. Well at least this time it STARTED COMPRESSING. Seriously, something is wrong with this conversion's UltraArc.ini, at least in the NoVideo version. It's so annoying...

EDIT: FINALLY it works but let's be frank: UltraArc.ini in both novideo archive and the enclosed UltraArc update is BORKED. When I used the ini from GTX' Syndicate conversion (I only changed First Volume Size to the proper value) it now compresses everything as it should.

Please somebody share uninstall folder, I don't read about the warning from parkrat2k2.

My conversion is 6 dvds, I already burn 5 dvd. the last dvd I will include the proper files of the uninstaller.

burn as is you don't want the uninstall files included on your dvds.

Please upload uninstall.exe and uninstall.dat that's all I need. Cause I already burn the conversion, I just need to replace the uninstall files manually after installation to get proper uninstall to run well.

Doesn't work that way. Your install will not match mine & the uninstall files will do you no good. just remove folder & files manually. They will be created once you install from conversion.

I re-convert the games and install after that I backup the uninstall folder and include the proper uninstall to the dvd6 before I burn it.

Conversion updated to latest CIUV2. Choose either NO Video or Video conversion if you either don't want/do want video playback during install.
