I am doing a 'test' :D
Could some members (not moderators) please click on the the links in the first post, do the correct posts open?
Clicking on 'test 2' should give you a 'Post does not exist' message.
Clicking on 'test 3' should open the post which says 'test 3'
Clicking on 'test 4' should open the post which says 'test 4'
and obviously the same with 'test 5' ;)
thanks
P.s: The reason for the test is to check when a post is permanently deleted (ie: test 2) that the following posts redirect to the correct posts linked to in the first post.

Yep, test 2 gives "Invalid Post specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"
the rest works as intended as well.

Yep, same!
Ok thanks, thats enough posts ;)
One more thing, you will notice when viewing the whole page that 'test 3' is actually 'Post 2' ... if you open 'Post 2 in another Window then what number is the Post?
Let me reword that ^ .....
if you Click on 'test 3' in the first post, and Open in New Window ... what is the Post Number in the top right hand corner?
#3
(i guess you mean next to the "report button")

Yeah, same here, when opening the link in a new window or tab the post number is #3.

Yes
So you guys see it the same as I do... you will notice Test 3 is actually Post 2 now that the Test 2 post has been deleted, but it still retains the number 3 when viewed in another window.
Thanks for all the comments guys.
For the record, we are going to do some cleaning of the 'Best Compression Methods' thread and I wanted to make sure the Index was still going to redirect to the correct posts. ;)
Thanks again to you all for your help. ;)
