[0] Place your DVD9 in your DVD drive & open it so you see all the files & folders

[MAKING 1ST DVD5]

[1] Make a temp folder on your desktop called CNC3TW_1 & copy the contents of the DVD9 to it.

[2] Delete the following files from the CNC3TW_1 folder

Langfr~1.CAB
Langua~2.CAB
Langge~1.CAB
Langua~1.CAB

[3] Remove the file Core.CAB & place it somewhere safe (WE NEED IT LATER)

[4] Replace the old .MSI file with mine (See Link Below)

cnc3kane.rar - Use this one with the conversion
Use_With_New_Movies.rar - Use this one with the Re-Sampled Videos

[5] Make a folder called CRACK & place the 1.03 Update in there along with its respective NO/DVD patch

[6] Burn the TEMP folder using the Volume Label CNC3TW_1

[MAKING 2ND DVD5]

[1] Make a temp folder on your desktop called CNC3TW_2 & copy the Core.CAB file to it

[2] You can also copy the Autorun.ini file & Icon if you wish..

Edit the Autorun.ini to look like what I have below

[3] Make a folder called CRACK & place the 1.03 Update in there along with its respective NO/DVD patch

[4] Burn the TEMP folder with the Volume Label CNC3TW_2

Making the game fit a single DVD5

[1] Download each of the 9 parts & uncompress the files using WinRAR

I have a litte "Installer" for the "Crack&Update 1.1". GERMAN VERSION!

1. Install the Game - Full Install!

2. Open the "Update_1.1_NO_DVD_Patch.exe"

3. Install at your "Installation Source"

Ive had to add a few more programs than what you asked for as 1 is no good without the other..

List Below

1) BIG Editor V0.5 (.BIG file editor but cant uncompress .INI files)
2) FinalBIG V0.4 (.BIG file editor & can uncompress .INI files)
3) VP6 converter (.VP6 video file converting program)
4) VP6 Codec (Codec for VP6 files)

This is all freeware stuff so no probs on copyrights.....

well i cancelled this downsampling method, it would've worked but its too much work now... i created a little workaround though just dummied the bigfiles on the disk, and added the real ones in a self extracting rar, to a second dvd. so you have to install the game with dvd1, and install the "movies addon" into the installation dir from dvd2.

won't work. just do it like i did
copy everything from the dvd9, put the three movies.big files in program files\electronic arts\ somewhere save, replace them with emtpy files. means create empty notepad file, rename it to the filename of the big file.

then you just put the three movie files on a seperate dvd

then you install it from dvd1, and copy the three files manually into the installation folder

i created a nice self extracting winrar archive for these files, you only have to specifiy the c&c installation path, and everything goes fine

I finished re encoding my vp6 files a few days ago....780megs for all 3 big files leaves me just over 2gig spare on the dvd....& yes it is alot of work cos you cant just convert them, theres a bit more too it than that...

I finally got it to work. This is 100% working. I didn't delete any files or movies.

1) Create a folder and name it "C&C3_1" - This will be the 1st DVD

2) Now copy all the contents from the original DVD9, except the "program files" folder. This folder contains the movies.

3) Create another folder, and name it "C&C3_2" - this is the 2nd DVD. Paste the "program files" folder here. Do not just copy the movie files, but the whole folder. Also include "cnc3gdi.ico" and "Autorun.inf" - open the autorun file in notepad and change it to this:

You will also include the .msi file in this folder later on, after it has been edited (See below steps).

4) Download Orca. After installing right click on the .msi file(in the "C&C3_1" folder), and select "Edit with Orca". The name of the file will be "cnc3std.msi" (for standard edition) or "cnc3kane.msi" (for kane edition).

5) Once in Orca, in the column on the left scroll down and select "Media" - You need to edit it and change it to this:


IMPORTANT:
Your list might be different from mine, depending on different versions, but this is not a problem. You need to add the "Movies" row, highlighted in red. Just make sure you add the "movies" row in ascending order of the "LastSequence" column. As you can see the "LastSequence" column is set to 106, and is between 102 and 116 (highlighted in blue). Please note that since you cannot lower a row to the row below it to make space for the "Movies" row, you will need to delete all rows above a "LastSequence" value of 102 (or whatever number is closest to 106, since your list might be different) and then add all the rows again, starting from the movies row. DO NOT use my image above as a guide of the rows that follow the movies row since they might be different in your list. Instead "printscreen" your list and paste it in paint, and use that image as a guide. Just make sure you the rename the Volume Labels.
When finished save and exit orca.

4) Now simply copy this .msi file and paste in the 2nd folder, "C&C3_2"

5) If you want you can include a folder for patches,etc.

6) Now just burn the contents of the"C&C3_1" folder to a DVD. make sure you name the DVD as "C&C3_1". Then burn the 2nd DVD "C&C3_2", and again make sure the name is "C&C3_2"

7) Now when installing the game, around 1/4 through the installtion a prompt will come up telling you to insert DVD 2. insert DVD 2 and click continue. then around 3/4 you will recieve an error saying that a certain file cannot be found. this is obviously because this file (and the rest of the files) are in the first DVD. so remove DVD2, and insert DVD1 and click retry. the installation will continue and complete.

download and extract my archive to catalog where u copy all dvd9 contents [replace all files] [eg d:\cnc]
run ENG_ONLY.BAT
create or burn contents inside catalogs:disk1 and disk2 with name of this catalog
dvd1 name "disk1"
dvd2 name "disk2"

all other files are not needed
if u want add no-dvd u must manual add to disk2 [name of catalog not important]

if u must change partition to any other do this:
click start>run type regedit
go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion
backup this settings [need to restore after installation]
edit:

to change "default" path where game was installing
close regedit
install game
after restore backuped settings.
