can't seem to run cd backup of playdisk

I have the original D2 but would like to make a backup. I copied all 3 ok. But when I came to use the play disk, it indicates that "please make sure the playdisk is in the cd rom drive then click retry". what gives? I am currently using adaptec cd copier v.3.5c. Any help is appreciated.

Hey there,
In my opinion almost all the copy-software of Adaptec sux! I made a working 1:1 backup of Diablo 2. I used CloneCD 2.7.x.x forgot which version I have ... Anyway I used the next read settings: Read Subchannels from Data Tracks and Read Subchannels from Audio Tracks.
In the write tab select Don't Repair Subchannels...
And then copy the game!
This should work...

My Hardware:
cd-reader: A-Open
cd-writer: HP9310i Plus

Diablo 2 is protected with one of those gay ass CD Copy protections like CDilla/Securom/SafeDisk. There's no way you can copy it with Adaptec. CloneCD will be the only way you can copy it, but your drive has to support RAW mode.
