Huh? Please, elaborate; what do you want to avoid?

Now now, we shouldn't stereotype just based off of people's locations :P

1. This forum is about circumventing/removing copy protections, not applying them.
2. On the other hand, there are a few people on this forum who cracked a few games (and/or applications) already and they do know a few things about the internals of copy protections. They would be willing to help you...
3. ... but you did not explain what you're trying to do. Are you trying to find a copy protection to protect your own CD's/DVD's?
4. Also, insulting the people whom you asked for help is not a very bright idea.
5. Show me an Iranian company that became one of the market leaders in copy protections. Everyone knows that the world's best programmers are the Russians, therefore, it's not a miracle that the world's most famous copy protection (Starforce) was done by a Russian company.
6. By the, did you know that ISOBuster has nothing to do with copy protections? It rather helps with reading data off damaged CD's/DVD's.

If you need help, leave your white horse in the stables and be thankful for any help you get! Otherwise, if you cannot drop this attitude, please, kindly leave the forum. Thank you.

heh and now he tries to appeal to our ego by stating we know nothing...
what a TYPICAL response...

if iranian companies have the best cd lock software and data protection in the world, then how come all the major companies use safedisc, securom, starforce, and pretty much anything NOT from iran?

total bullshit, either continue this discussion in a non advertising way or the thread gets closed.. simple as that

1. all it seems to do is mess up the iso file format in a way that breaks all the rules
2. its runtime packed with upack which raises anti virus warnings (try it with avg and you'll see).
3. the home page is incredibly suspicious, funny how the 'approved, clean' etc logos are all on the site, and have no proof what-so-ever that they were actually given
4. the whole layout looks very amateurish

now im going to go and analyse it further, and i suspect what i think already will be proven by the analysis..

Why do you resist you?

yes it has been packed by upack
with a hex editor you can see that signature at first
when you protect your exe after writing cd you must
choose yes to write lock signature
Otherwise lock doesn't work correctly
and finally check it by writing program
if you suspect you can search in internet and see
result type in google power lock and see what happen
thanks

well here we go..
  • 1. drag and drop doesn't work correctly in the main gui
  • 2. 'protecting' an x64 exe results in
Code:
---------------------------
Sorensoft Power Disc Lock
---------------------------
Access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
maybe that was unfair, as it doesn't state x64 support, but it shouldn't crash!
  • 3. file / folder navigation in the main window is totally screwed, try opening a folder with a sub folder (in the right window).. now double click the sub folder.. NOTHING happens.. the folder also doesn't update if i copy new content into it... ie: GUI needs a LOT of work.
  • 4. using 'leet' filenames when doing the exe protection just makes your program look really childish.. i 'protected' test_x86.exe and it made a little 7357_x86.3x3.tst file..
which has an AACS header.. which clearly is NOT executable..
  • 5. running the executable to protect it is also not a good idea.. and then it being upacked afterwards just makes avg (and probably other anti virus) go nuts..
  • 6. overwriting the exe without asking the user if they want to make a backup of it is quite simply irresonsible..
  • 7. the superman logo etc is most likely a trademark infringement, so thats won't make your customers (if you have any) too happy..
  • 8. relocating data segments and code segments without reloc data is a really stupid idea.. in my test exe you relocated the data, and the exe shows the little splash screen and then silently exits.. did you actually even test this?
  • 9. the anti debug is a joke. int 1?.. lol
  • 10. assuming the program to be protected is gui is a bad idea..

my test was a console exe, your 'wrapper' made it into gui.. making it not work..
Code:
original is : Subsystem Console
you made it : Subsystem GUI
and a few other things..

Code:
original -> OS version                 5.00
original -> Subsystem version          5.00
you made it..
Code:
OS version 4.00
Subsystem version 4.00
so you magically make a program that is designed to run on a HIGHER version of windows run on a LESSER version of windows..
bad idea..

you reset the compile timestamp in the pe header to NULL.. why?

Code:
original -> Size of image 0017700
you made it -> Size of image 00AF0000
thats QUITE a difference.. 0AD8900h -> 11,372,800..
yes folks, thats an ~11MB INCREASE in the executable image size in memory..
  • 11. to test further i decided to protect protection_id.exe, it should be a good candidate. .its gui, so should work.. right?..
well.. NO..you did the following (which if i was a publisher i would be quite pissed off about)
  • a. you OVERWROTE my version information in the exe with yours
  • b. you OVERWROTE my icon with yours
  • c. you REMOVED my exports

now, while it may all be ok that you copy this all back at runtime, i can't validate it will work as it never even seems to reach the
entrypoint of my exe.. its also bad practice...

end result.. your splash screen appears with some '114' code in a static window and the program silently exits..
  • 12. wrapper is in delphi.. bad design idea..
  • 13. build iso and lock disk result in a 'contact me' dialog appearing.. so HOW am i meant to be able to test this?

now, i have no idea if this is by design, but how am i meant to test if it works or not if this is all i see?.. the demo is crippled to such an extent that it will (supposedly) protect, but i can't validate it...

final conclusion : total piece of shit, the developer really needs to learn a little more about the PE format, and how to protect things properly..

Dont be Fanatical

Dear TIPPEX

Power Disc Lock is an international Award winning and Power Tools that Burn data on all type of discs
(CD DVD DVD DL ...) with Lock . (not Anti crack or Anti hack tools)
It can protect all type of exe file as they can detect Illegal copy with
more other protection options .
Can you present me an application with this features ??? (you know that starforce is very weak)

>>>1. all it seems to do is mess up the iso file format in a way that breaks all the rules
It is not only the weak of this application but also it is Power of this application

>>>2. its runtime packed with upack which raises anti virus warnings (try it with avg and you'll see)
It is mistake of some anti virus applications ,other famous application have this problem too .
i recommend you test full edition of this application (contact with developer)

>>>3. the home page is incredibly suspicious, funny how the 'approved, clean' etc logos are all on the site, and have no proof what-so-ever that they were actually given
>>>4. the whole layout looks very amateurish
This site have Pagerank 3 from google and score 7 of 10 from fire factor .
Are you bigger than this sites ???

About Others :

>>>1. drag and drop doesn't work correctly in the main gui
>>>2. 'protecting' an x64 exe results in
Work with full edition of this application .

>>>3. file / folder navigation in the main window is totally screwed, try opening a folder with a sub folder (in the right window).. now double click the sub folder.. NOTHING happens.. the folder also doesn't update if i copy new content into it... ie: GUI needs a LOT of work.
In Programming language you can Enable or disable auto refresh in filelistview,
It depend the think of developer and program algorithm .
if it is a problem ,many other professional application have this problem .

>>>4. using 'leet' filenames when doing the exe protection just makes your program look really childish.. i 'protected' test_x86.exe and it made a little 7357_x86.3x3.tst file..
>>>which has an AACS header.. which clearly is NOT executable .
This is test file (see extention .tst) when you press test button .
meanwhile it is power of this application that can run a file which clearly is NOT executable .
for learning about how this application work ,first see help of program then talk about it .

>>>5. running the executable to protect it is also not a good idea.. and then it being upacked afterwards just makes avg (and probably other anti virus) go nuts
First understand how this application protect exe files then talk about it(see help of program)

>>>6. overwriting the exe without asking the user if they want to make a backup of it is quite simply irresonsible
The application make a backup automaticaly before protecting and restore all backupped files after burning .
I have said ,first learn how this application work the talk about it .(see program help first)

>>>7. the superman logo etc is most likely a trademark infringement, so thats won't make your customers (if you have any) too happy
Hack of programs is not infringement???!!! i think that you are a hacker .
The Customer are not my customer but if you want list of internatinal customers you can contact with application developer,he can forward
emails of all international customers for you (if you can read emails) or search the web or contact with magazines like winmagazin of europa .

Finally i think that you are a FANATICAL hacker that only have a lot of hack tools like ollydbg and
only can work with pe header and pe structure without Programing knowledge .
(can you write a program hello world with qbasic)
Squabble with you have not result .

For more information about this application search the web,
Very Important : Say how can make a copy of protected disc with this demo application (with Alcohol120% or CloneCD or IsoBuster or Others), that can work.
You know ,Disc that was protected with starforce can easilly write with Alcohol120% or extract with IsoBuster .
Other Application of this Developer are International Award Winning too .
