True, but some AV's will not bother rechecking a binary after unwrapping in memory.

Hello,

Looking to your AVG snap shot I can tell you one thing that your AVG antivirus is outdated means you need to download new updates from the Internet.. Your antivirus database is outdated you need to upgrade your virus definitions by downloading the updates from its official websites on the Internet... So, do this quick to get your antivirus working properly...
Good Luck...!!!

Hello Everyone.
I suffered with very strange problem with AVG 9.0. The problem is when I select specific files and then click on scan button below, the avg window seems to do nothing. It neither seems to hang nor do any processing .It seems as if the button has no programming associated with the select feature or is it a software bug in the latest version.
I update the AVG 3 to 4 times but no result at all. Anyone have any idea ?

actually no, it could be an implication that a virus has blocked the files (therby rendering the anti virus useless)... not everything is as straightforward as you think..

Did you turn on automatic updates? You should not take any action to update avg with automatic updates.

Forget all other options. It's a virus man! You have to either try re-installing windows or format if it still exists after re-installation. I've had this virus so I know for sure, trust me!
