Well, I just noticed that the recoded video files only contain one of the audio tracks. I think I'm going to mix all of the same language audio together(so that the audio actually plays properly - a bug with the game) and figure out what compression ratio I'm going to need to get the files to fit again.

I thought I was done with this conversion, but apparently not.

Anyone want to write conversion guide for 3xDVD5 or even 2xDVD5?

For 3xDVD5 I only need to change compression to lzma/ultra or something more needs to be changed?

You will need to read the rest of the thread to get specific changes to the script but here's a quick outline of what hasn't been posted yet.

You can get to 2xDVD5 by:
Recoding the bik files to 60%(extract all audio tracks, combine/mix the proper audio tracks together(use audition or something like it) eg tracks 0-3 for english, 4-7 for french etc and mix them back into the biks as tracks 0,4,8,12, and 16). This is an enormous amount of work but the videos all play with proper sound(sfx+voice+music+bg are all in one track/language). Each added audio track adds about 1 mb to that video file. To be safe you can use 55%(you can probably use none for script compression if you do this)

Replace the ad videos with blanks(aspyr, nvidia, goldguys, and marketingsizzle). If you want to keep these then all the bik files need to be at a lower compression(more than 50% but less than 60% - you can figure this out mathematically)

repack using lzma/fast with the diskslicesize I posted earlier. There will be no space left on the DVDs(well, about 20 MB on each).

3xDVD5 is much easier as all you need to do is recompress the levelpacks folder(took me about 2h30m). There will even be enough space left over for the patch that just came out. You need to use a diskslicesize that will leave a small file on the third disc in order for the levelpacks and other files to run at the end of the install. Set the compression to none(there is very little space gained by this anyway and it will help you figure out what diskslicesize you need easier).

2xDVD5 will take about 2 days to complete, 3xDVD5 will take about 5 hours.

Edit: actually, you could get this game down to 1xDVD5 if you were to replace all the bik files with dummys and compress the levelpacks folder with freearc.
