Call of Juarez - The Cartel (1x DVD5) *INNO+FreeArc*
1) Extract 'COJTC_1xDVD5.7z' contents
2) Move from Game's installation folder :
'Redist' folder to 'COJTC_DVD5' folder
all '*.rpack' files to 'COJTC_DVD5\Data' folder
3) Delete:
Speechforeignlanguages folders
Speechforeignlanguages.pak files
4) Launch FreeArc and then compress all files/folders in the root of game's installation folder:
Code:
Output archive: COJTC
Compression: -mx -ld800m
Make exe: Not checked
5) Move 'COJTC.arc' file to 'COJTC_DVD5' folder
6) Burn or make iso with label name of your choice

Good, nice-looking job, is 1min 30sec faster then mine one :)
Although changing backgrounds in autorun isn't good idea (IMO)
And BTW I suggest to make '-m0 archive' with non compressed files and its full path (in this case MD\Data\*.rpack) to avoid the mistake in destination of copied files (such in your Hunted conversion)

Actually, not compressing the "*.rpack" files along all the other game files (Like in your conversion) is what actually makes his installer faster - And hence, the total time compressing the game files is smaller for this (Peterf) conversion.
And BTW, it's actually possible to "fix" this by tweaking the setup.ini from your (BAMsE) conversion. I don't know how to do that for "external", but with "zero compression" is pretty easy. ;)
... And now we have two options, a "Complex, yet truly complete" (Peterf) one and a "Games for windows 'easy-as-cake'" (Yeber90's codes and BAMsE's work) one. But if you wanna know, we still need a option to make a 2xDVD5 full backup with all languages... Well... quite not this time... :D
Thanks for the hard work, all of you.
I'm not thinking about compressing *.rpack along all the other files, but making another (zero compression) archive. Unpacking them takes only 5-10secs more then copying them from root :)

I said that YOU did that, not him!
(...) not compressing the "*.rpack" files along all the other game files (Like in your conversion) is what actually makes his installer faster(...)
... and, thanks to the setup.ini provided with Yener's installer, you can do what you've proposed to peter in your own conversion easily.
Just to remember:
In peterf's conversion, you MOVE the *.rpack files and delete the "extra" languages before compression, thus saving time during the compress steps and uncompressing data during the game install
In yours, you just dele these "extra" langs before compressing everything - Including the *.rpack files that still are in the game folder - hence that's why your installer takes "longer" to finish.
Plus, there's no "true" differecne between making people compress these files to zero compression or move them to NO compression. If something wrong will happen, it won't change anything.
Not to mention that, regardless everything, all of these scrpits does the "Unpacking .7zip//.rar//.arc//.cab//.(Anything but .BIN used in Inno's internal compression) as the last steps - After even the "redist" (DirectX, Visual runtimes, G4WL...) install. So even if we have a failed coding (Or whatever is wrong with Hunted conversion), we can fix it by using dummy files for "external" and a "proper" compressed file with the proper files//dirs - Like sulfurum1989 did (http://fileforums.com/showpost.php?p=395716&postcount=10)!
(OF course, this for Peterf's installers; For Yener ones, it seems that editing the setup.ini properly will save our @$$3$ again. >.<)
Here for more info:

we can fix it by using dummy files for "external" and a "proper" compressed file with the proper files//dirs
You're right, but peterf's installer didn't allow you to add any archives, so you are constrained to add proper dirs/files to main *.arc file and doing all compression once again :p

Peterf1999 I have some strange problems with those inno setups lately, with this one the conversion is ok, game uninstalled registry cleared and when autorun starts the options are play uninstall etc. I cant find where inno sees that the game is installed. There is no sign of it in registry. Uninstall does nothing and I cant install it from converted files. The original from dvd9 works. And with Rage and Red faction armageddon done by pakrat2k2: compiled ok setup runs and then crashes with setup.tmp stopped working. Tried to run that conversion on another PC and install runned there, so it's definitely something with my PC, not the conversion.
Can You please help me solve this riddle, it is very annoying. Thank You very much in advance :)
