ArmA2: REINFORCEMENTS (DVD9 to 2x DVD5)

1) Install the game

2) Extract 'A2RFT_2xDVD5.7z' contents

3) Copy DVD9's contents to 'ArmA2RFT_2xDVD5\A2RFT_1' folder (don't overwrite the contents)

4) Copy from game's folder to 'ArmA2RFT_2xDVD5\A2RFT_2\OperationArrowhead\Expans ion' folder the following folders:

Addons
Dta

except 'Dta\product.bin' file

5) Delete 'ArmA2RFT_2xDVD5\A2RFT_1\setup.crc' file

6) Burn or make ISOs with same label names of temp folders

3) Copy DVD9's contents to 'ArmA2RFT_2xDVD5\A2RFT_1' folder (don't overwrite the contents) ?? after that my A2RFT_1 size is 1.39 GB.. what do you mean dont over write? :confused:

Start over again, extract the 'A2RFT_2xDVD5.7z' archive. Go look in the
ArmA2RFT_2xDVD5\A2RFT_1\OperationArrowhead\Expansi on\Addons folder

Notice that there are files there already ?! each 3KB each. When you copy the DVD9 contents into the ArmA2RFT_2xDVD5\A2RFT_1 folder windows will ask files exist do you want to overwrite? You say NO!!!

pakrat2k2 what the size of A2RFT_1 after we copy the content of dvd9 to A2RFT_1? 4.30 GB?

It's my answer time :D

1st DVD 4.30 gb
2nd DVD 4.09 gb

I know that the conversion's work, I'm always using this forum as a guide and as a help on how to make the conversions and haven't found a single one that doesn't work, I appreciate the things that the guys are doing for this community.

1. first just say no to all overwrite when you copy all the contents of DVD9.
2. then manually copy all the contents of Data folder, just overwrite it.
3. when you are on the step 4 of peterf conversion :


4) Copy from game's folder to 'ArmA2RFT_2xDVD5\A2RFT_2\OperationArrowhead\Expans ion' folder the following folders:

Dta

except 'Dta\product.bin' file


the 4th step of peterf is copy the contents of above folder into A2RFT_2,
but when you see "ArmA2RFT_2xDVD5\A2RFT_1\OperationArrowhead\Expansi on" their size are 1KB each.

so, copy all the contents of THE OTHER FILES OR FOLDER except the 1KB size file

Here's what I do with peterf conversion for DVD 1:

1. Install game

3. Go back to DVD9 and Copy 'Data' folder to 'ArmA2RFT_2xDVD5\A2RFT_1' folder and overwrite
4. Go back to DVD9 and Copy the following folders and files from 'OperationArrowhead' folder to 'ArmA2RFT_2xDVD5\A2RFT_1\OperationArrowhead' folder:

- Addons Folder
- Keys Folder
- Missions Folder
- MPMissions Folder
- Product Folder
- arma2oaserver.exe
- ArmA2RFT.exe
- ijl15.dll
- paul.dll
- lang.txt
- logo-paul.bmp


And for DVD 2 I just followed Peterf's orders.

A2RFT_1 size is 4.30 GB
A2RFT_2 size is 4.09 GB

Work fine on win7 32bit
