Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (DVD9 to 1x DVD5) *1 LANGUAGE*

1) Install the game

2) Extract 'ACB_1xDVD5.7z' contents

3) Copy DVD9's contents to 'ACB_1xDVD5\ACB' folder

4) Launch 'repack.bat', select your language & wait...

5) Burn or mount iso in 'ACB_1xDVD5' folder

DVD5 Size ~ 4.20 gb

Note: Only Sounds data of foreign languages are removed, MP is still there

I think I've got solution but it's not tested. :P

After extracting 'ACB_1xDVD5.7z' do the following:
1) Open 'repack.bat' in any text editor (for example Notepad)
2) Find your language. I don't know how to explain it clearly... For Polish language it's something like this:

move /y !lng!\setup.ini .\ACB\ >nul
goto start
)
3) Now open 'ACB' folder and find file named like this in bold above. (For Polish conversion it is 'list_en.ini')
4) Open it and delete lines with sound you want to save. For Italian it is:
[sound_it]
File1="sounds_ita.pck"

Hope it works. Check or wait for peterf1999 response. :)
Of course ISO size will be bigger.

I meant if there any chance to add sounds_ita.pck in the conversion along with sounds_eng.pck as well
in other words, make the game English+Italian

After the step 2, do this:

Extract & overwrite the archive contents to 'ACB_1xDVD5' folder.

Not tested, i don't known if it fits on DVD5. :confused:

I have only 1 question : i received an error during the creation of ISO, but che compression show me "All OK".
Can you post a screen of ISO , so I can make a ISO file without restart the long process of conversion?

First of all, as always, THANK YOU FOR YOUR UBBER GREAT CONVERSIONS!!!

I intend to play the game with italian voices + spanish subs/interface. Is it possible with this conversion or I may have to "tweak" something? If spanish voices could also be included it would be a knock-down =P.

Make italian conversion, install the game.

Open Regedit & change the key's value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed Brotherhood\Language

from Italian

to Spanish

Launch the game and then go to game menu:

Opzioni -> Lingua sottotitoli -> Spagnolo

That's all :)

The only problem was that my NAV '10, says that the file ACB_arc.exe acts in a suspicious way and will be blocked :eek:...
I disabled my antivirus, and "ALL OK"...

What is the final size?


Final size was about 4.5gb, but deleting directx ".cab's" & some support files (manuals, etc) in other languages it fits in 1xdvd5:). I used lx1600mb instead of 800.

i had downloaded the game as an "non installation needed" version i don't know how we call it in english but in french it's called "Portable version" no installation needed so i can't apply peter's method cause i haven't the original DVD9 :( i have juste the installed version.

This is called "slipstreaming". The conversion starts with "install the game"; change this to "install the game and apply the patch" and then you'll archive the already patched game. (I don't know if it actually works, I don't have this game.)
