Bulletstorm (DVD9 to 1x DVD5) *INNO SETUP* *1 LANGUAGE*

1) Install the game

2) Extract 'Bulletstorm_YourLanguage_1xDVD5.7z' contents

3) Copy from DVD9 to 'Bulletstorm_1xDVD5' folder the following folders:

DirectX
PhysX
vcredist
Live

4) Move from game's folder to 'Bulletstorm_1xDVD5' folder the following folders:

Binaries
Engine
Support
Movies (it's located in StormGame folder)

5) Delete from game's folder 'StormGame':

PCConsoleTOC_foreignlanguages.txt files
Localization\foreignlanguages folders
CookedPCConsole\*_LOC_foreignlanguages.upk files

6) Launch FreeArc and then compress the 'StormGame' folder:

Output archive: Bulletstorm
Compression: -mx -ld800m
Make exe: Not checked

7) Move Bulletstorm.arc to 'Bulletstorm_1xDVD5' folder

8) Burn or make ISO with label name of your choice

it works, i try using compatiblity setting check run in 640 x480 screen resolution....

Setup detects whether the monitor is 4/3 or 16/9 and then choose the right background image to use for full screen mode to any resolutions, but unfortunately there is an issue to converting from float to string for 16/9 resolutions.The issue will be solved

I'm not sure if it affects the setup program but there are notebook/LCD monitors with an aspect ratio of 16:10, too.

Use english setup, at step 5 do it in this way:

PCConsoleTOC_foreignlanguages.txt files (keep PCConsoleTOC_INT.txt & PCConsoleTOC_POL.txt files)
Localization\foreignlanguages folders ( keep Localization\POL folder)
CookedPCConsole\*_LOC_foreignlanguages.upk files (keep *_LOC_INT.upk & *_LOC_POL.upk files)

can't play the game after updating patch with your install. Just crashed, missing some kind of .ini. Play fine with clone DVD ... My Q is when you said add the StormGame folder u mean all subfolder inside or the whole folder "StormGame"?

It's a problem... when autorun starts setup.exe icon appears on a taskbar, but no setup on screen and after maybe 10-12 seconds windows freezes, so I have to restart it. Any ideas?

You must remove the original installation, and then install from the custom installation

I also tested the new setup in Win7 x64. In 1st time, it "freezed" in the "Freearc" part, maybe because I was with Photoshop openned =P
But 2nd time (After I closed PSCS5), it worked fine. And oddly enough, it installed FASTER than the original - Even with Freearc "-mx -ld800" compression (and the 1gb ram needed for it)

Update also installed well (No errors during install), people just need to remember to EITHER:
- Run the game just after install
- Or delete/move the following files:
---> (GAME FOLDER)\Binaries\Win32\ShippingPC-StormGame.exe.zdp
---> (GAME FOLDER)\Binaries\Win32\Zdp\ZdpConfig.xml
before patching.


And for those who are SICK of the update starting the game just after install, just open the .msi file from the patch with InstallEdit or ORCA, then delete the line "RelaunchProgram" (or something like that; It's the one with the name of the game executable. And it has the "Relaunch" name for sure!) in the "Property" table. It also works with F1 2010 v1.1 update. Moderators can delete this if not "nice" to be posted, despite I don't see anything "wrong" here. Just play your game the time you want, not just after leash... er, patching it! =)

AWESOME, cant believe how it takes a 6.3GB folder & compresses it to 2.7GB. Wonder why developers/publishers dont do something similar, instead of a big a$$ 4xdvd9 release? ( not this 1 but others ). Nice job bud, anyways.

re-read the instructions..

1) Install the game
2) Extract 'Bulletstorm_YourLanguage_1xDVD5.7z' contents -> meaning if you want english, then just use the Bulletstorm_ENG_1xDVD5.7z
French uses Bulletstorm_FRA_1xDVD5.7z
German uses Bulletstorm_GER_1xDVD5.7z
Italian uses Bulletstorm_ITA_1xDVD5.7z
Spanish uses Bulletstorm_SPA_1xDVD5.7z

PICK YOUR LANGUAGE IGNORE the rest of the 7z files, and follow the rest of the instructions..

YOU are doing it wrong, as others including myself have used this & it works 100%..

if you experience any strange issues, decrement the amount of decompression memory.
Keep in mind that the decompression will be slower

eg. -mx -ld400m (~ 500 mb for decompression)
