Works perfect with this conversion and with this attachement on WINXP x32 and PL lang, but You forgot to mention pakrat2k2 that with Your autorun the labels should be "Disc1" and "Disc2".
Anyway, thanks both of You.

Tested successfully with the Multi 11 Version adding The_Killer's last fixed autorun.dat. Install gets DISK2, asks DISK1, and then again DISK2 to finish install the game flawlessly

this conversion only uses files from the DVD9. So if you dont have data1.cab->data6.cab
files on your DVD9 then it wont work.
peterf1999 has a post that uses the installed files for this game. look it up.

With the nfsHP_Corrected-autorun.rar posted by pakrat2k2, and dvd labels disc1 and disc2, the game installed successfully. It asks for disc1>disc2>disc1 to finish the installation. Tested on the Multi11 version of the game. Thanks mviking and all the others!

hello guys...I want to change the label of the DVD from DISK1 to NFSHP_DVD1 and from DISK2 to NFSHP_DVD2 but to complete the installation with these labels need to edit the file autorun.dat...with software that can do this?
I would also change the message "Inserisci il supporto ottico DISK1" to "Inserisci il supporto ottico DVD1"...with software that can do this?

google for ORCA which is used to edit autorun.dat & msi files.
Then open up autorun.dat from this topic and change to DVD Labels & Disk Prompt to whatever you want. The table you need to edit will be the media table. Make the changes you want & save the file. Make the ISO's & test install / uninstall BEFORE burning to dick.

I used ORCA to change the label of the DVD from DISK1 to NFSHP_DVD1 and from DISK2 to NFSHP_DVD2 but during the installation does not recognize the DVD2...also it is non possible change the message "Inserisci il supporto ottico DISK1" to "Inserisci il supporto ottico DVD1" with ORCA...how can I do?

the disk prompt is where is asks for either disk or dvd, depending on what you put in the prompt label in the media table.

i edit autorun.dat in this way:
http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/6365/labelo.png (http://img716.imageshack.us/i/labelo.png/)
I used as label "NFSHP_DVD1" for disc1 and "NFSHP_DVD2" for disc2 but during the installation appears the following screen:
http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/8072/disk2needpursuit.png (http://img694.imageshack.us/i/disk2needpursuit.png/)
I insert the disc2 but the screen appears again, and the installation does not continue.
What's wrong? also how do I bring up "Inserisci il supporto ottico NFSHP_DVD2" and not "Inserisci il supporto ottico DISK2"??

post your autorun.dat file
Tell me what language you want to install the game in, I'll have to look thru embedded files for that language.

here is the file autorun.dat and i want to install the game in the ITA language...can you tell me how and what changes do you mean?
pakrat2k2
21-04-2011, 18:24
sure i can tell you..
Within the autorun.dat file there is sometimes embedded MST files for all the different languages the game supports. Just changing the media file table to whatever disk prompt & volume label MAY be fine for english language. But any of the other languages may not accept those changes, without having the same values in all the mst files.
The MST files need to be extracted from within the dat file and then loaded one by one changes made to that one file so it matches the root changes. Then the file is resaved, and you continue till all the supported languages are corrected. The next step is to remove all those mst files from the dat file and replaced with the changed ones, at that point no matter what language is chosen during the setup all of the languages will have the same values. Bit of a pain to do but at least all the languages will install properly after that.

BelGiaguaro1980
I have corrected your posted autorun.dat to have all the MST files now load the correct file with the right diskprompt & dvdlabel. Your file didnt have any changes to it.
I also have added the msix files along with a doc that explains how to work with the embedded mst files.
fixed autorun file --> autorun.rar
MSIX program / doc ---> msix.rar

I have problems when I try to open the following file:
cs.mst
hu.mst
pl.mst
zh.tw.mst
Appears the following error: "The specifield transform could not be applied"
How can I fix?
Edit: changing the codepage, i can modify cs.mst, hu.mst and pl.mst but what is the codepage for zh.tw.mst?
pakrat2k2
22-04-2011, 21:07
you dont need to edit the autorun.dat I already corrected it.
the zh-tw mst file refuses to load even with codepage set for it. so its at default for that language
the others have already been changed. just replace the autorun.dat & test install / uinstall for ITA..
BelGiaguaro1980

you know you've changed my autorun.dat but I also wanted to learn the procedure by testing...For this i asked you the codepage of language zh-tw..

According to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd317756(v=vs.85).aspx, it's rather CP950 that belongs to Taiwan (and China in general).

yes tried that codepage as well still gives errors within msi for displaying some info using that codepage as well.
It's the only embedded MST that gives errors no matter what game has that language in it. Hopefully some of the more experienced guys can jump in & correct me as how to fix it properly.
