Medal Of Honor (DVD9 to 1x DVD5) *Multi 8 (ENG,FRA,DEU,ITA,SPA,RUS,POL,UKE)* *Single Player Only*

1) Install the game

2) Extract 'Multi8-MOH_DVD5.rar' contents

DO NOT EXTRACT ARCHIVE WHERE YOUR GAMEFOLDER IS. Needs 20GB freespace for work environment.

3) Copy DVD9 contents to 'MOH_DVD5\MOH' folder

4) Copy from the FAKECookedMovies folder to MOH_DVD5/MOH\MOHAGame\CookedMovies the languages
you DONT want, say YES to overwrite.

e.g. For German Conversion:

MOH_AltFinale.vp6 -> copy 0 byte file
MOH_AltFinale_ITA.vp6 -> copy 0 byte file
MOH_AltFinale_SPA.vp6 -> copy 0 byte file
MOH_AltFinale_DEU.vp6 -> leave original

e.g. For Polish Conversion:

MOH_AltFinale.vp6 -> leave original
MOH_AltFinale_ITA.vp6 -> copy 0 byte file
MOH_AltFinale_SPA.vp6 -> copy 0 byte file
MOH_AltFinale_DEU.vp6 -> copy 0 byte file
MOHA_Legal_ID_Only_POL.vp6 -> leave original

Polish / Russian / French -> ALL NEED ORIGINAL FILES! They use English movie files w/subtitles. USE Peter's
EN/FR Conversion, if you want FR Movies.

5) MOVE autorun.dat from MOH_DVD5 to MOH folder.

6) Launch Re-compress.exe & wait... ( This process may takes HOURS, suggest starting at night!

7) Conversion process will ask if you want it to make ISO for you, (Yy/Nn) UPPERCASE / lowercase will work.

8 IF you choose NO, Burn the CONTENTS of the MOH folder with DVD label Disc1

DVD5 size 4.03GB

This Would NOT have been possible without Peterf1999's Help & Support !!

NOTE: New FIXED file uploaded Nov 11, 2010. Use for X86 for 32 bit / X64for 64 bit systems. If you have error during process, you MUST Uninstall Re-Compress from add/remove programs THEN re-run the exe. DO NOT change the default path!!

At end of Re-Compress Initial install, Check beside box that says " Launch Re-compressX64.exe " Otherwise it doesnt run

EDIT: 11/25/10 - added re-compress.exe for X86

when you say it will recompress the archives, you mean you're using freearc or other external compressor? Isn't it possible to use the standard CAB compression?

not possible to get the compression needed with standard CAB compression.
Tried that route initially, and was left with archive that was bigger then what i was trying to compress.

loader1 - this is a multi8 conversion, your multi2 will NOT work with this.

Differences in autorun.dat, cookedPC cab files, cookedmovie files, etc...

The first thing you DONT want to do is extract the 'Multi8-MOH_DVD5.rar' in the same place as your game is!

From the screenshot your game is installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Medal of Honor" so DO NOT extract the archive to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Medal of Honor\MOH_DVD5" !!

It NEEDS at least 20G freespace to do its work. Move it from where it is to another drive then right-click the Re-Coompress.exe & Run as Administrator.

I have a problem, I'm in x86 Windows XP and the x64 executable doesn't work, the error says "Install package is not compatible with this processor".

Obviously you cannot run a 64-bit executable in a 32-bit operating system.

added the x86 version of re-compress to first post.. Sorry didnt realise that I'd taken that exe out of package. You WILL need both files for X86 versions of windows, just run the exe thats not x64 ( just replace the recompress exe for your 32 bit version of windows ) and run it.

Thank you, but now the Re-compress is not recognising my MoH game folder. I'm using "X:\Juegos\Medal of Honor", without the quote marks.

EDIT: I have tried to reinstall the game to a folder which has no spaces, but the Re-compress still does not recognise the folder. I hope you can help me out, please.

I have the game in one folder and your MOH5_DVD folder elsewhere, and I don't know what to do now.

re-read the entire post, especially about the freespace & the notes at the bottom.
