I've just bought Sonic Mega Collection Plus off ebay and had to find out that it does not work on a system with more than a specific amount of RAM-memory. I use Windows XP as an operating system along with a quad-core CPU and 4GB of RAM.
Trying to start the game either from the original or the cracked executable file available here on GCW just results in a message that the application has to be closed.
I've managed to find a solution that is not comfortable, though. It works by adding another line to the boot.ini-file that contains the maxmem=1024 command, booting the system with this specification and then starting the game. Unfortunately, it isn't a pleasure having to reboot the system each time you want to start a specific game. This is why I'm here asking for someone to help me creating an executable file that contains the maxmem restriction itself or that is able to circumvent the problem of having too much memory in a different way. I have already tried using Imagecfg to edit the exe file but was not able to find the right commands to do so.
Thanks in advance.
