Hello, my name is Aditya Sadhula and I am working on developing and programming for games, having 2+ years experience. Now I want to learn more about 3D Game Programming, Graphics and Audio Development etc. Please tell me some of the best sites I can check and especially some offline resources/trainings that can help me gain some good experience.

Thanks in advance for all you members' help in this regard.

Oh dear oh dear..

Things like 3DSmax etc are just tools for helping to make meshes and skins etc, but he is more interested in the programming side of things like DirectX API programming etc.

I think Maya has a coding console to it, though I'm not quite sure as Ive only ever used it for making and animating models. Its an industry standard program to use so it would be one of your best bets. If not, Autodesk (The ones who have taken over the Maya project now) must have some programing software used for video gaming or something.

This, encase the guy is still around. If not, my apologies for posting on such an old thread.

Hello, my name is Aditya Sadhula Nice to meet you!

I am working on developing and programming for games, having 2+ years experience. Not in Basic i hope.

Please tell me some of the best sites I can check and especially some offline resources Well, if you want the lazy path, you might give a try to Allegro libraries. It has been around for some years now and it is very good to start doing some cool stuff and work with most compiler around.

Now I want to learn more about 3D Game Programming Personnaly i find Opengl easy to use. Good tutorial found at nehe production. Something easier than that? use GLut. It will even deal with with the loop, keyboard and mouse for you.

and Audio Development Heeelloooo!!, forget Dos programing direct memory access shits and stuff for soundblaster or adlib(I Almost cried when i brought the adlib programing kit although back then). With modern Win32 api C++ (free)compiller (i never thought i would said that one day) mciSendString and PlaySound should do the trick for most of your sound needs.

trainings that can help me gain some good experience. Time, practice and error. maybe some private college in a matter of month if you got money. As for Yoda he could only teach you about the Force unfortunately.
