I am looking for a freeware to change the bitrate in .ra, .rm, .ram music files.

There is such freeware available for changing bitrate of mp3 files but i have not been able to locate one relating to .ra, .rm and .ram files.

Information on such freeware will be appreciated.

thanks.

VirtualDubMod I think does it.

And Kristal Audio Engine does it too (just audio)

thanks.
in the features page of kristal, i see they support only following types:
WAVE, AIFF, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis
On a first look, it does not seem that it can change the bitrate of real audio music files.
ditto for virtual dub mod.

Ouch :(

Maybe when I used them last there was a realmedia plug in for them.

Have you looked on videohelp.com, and tools there is some audio tools etc there.

EDIT:

http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Real7ime_Converter

Converts RM to other formats, maybe from there you can use other programs to do what you want after conversion?

thanks for trying to be helpful.
i am specifically interested in a freeware that directly changes bitrate in .ra files.
it is possible to convert them to mp3 files with the software i already have. however, the mp3 files are much larger.

so, as i said originally, i am looking for freeware that changes bitware in .ra,.rm and .ram files directly.

thanks anyhow.

You can change to mp3, change bitrate and use a few programmes out there to change back to real format.
