1.) Create folders DISK1 and DISK2 (that's label name) and copy content of DVD9 to folder DISK1

2.) Download the modified 'Wolfenstein.msi', unpack the archive & copy the msi to DISK1 and say yes to replace: 1100

3.) From DISK1 move this files to DISK2 folder:

MapsA.cab
MapsA1.cab
MapsB.cab
MapsC.cab
MapsD.cab
MapsE.cab
MPPK.cab
MPPK2.cab

4.) From 'DISK1\Setup\rsrc' copy 'Wolfenstein.ico' to DISK2 folder

5.) From DISK1 copy 'autorun.inf' to DISK2 folder and edit him to like this:

i tested conversion without punkbuster installation,however to fix the error

move pbsvc.exe to WOLF_DVD folder

ahhhh....the conversion from CZ works for me, right ok, and i installed all, and custom installation too, with and without punkbuster, i installed on C:\Games and after i installed on default path, dvd1 dvd2 dvd1 same pics CZ too...
XP Professional 32 Bits SP3...

Confirmed!!! peterf1999's instructions worked without error! Created .iso's, mounted via Daemon Tools and installed to Vista Ultimate Ultimate x64. The install was error free and the game plays without issues. Thank you very much peterf1999.

The SPStre~1.cab file is damaged, recopy it to WOLF_DVD_1 and then rebuild iso or burn.

Hi,
I have the same problem and I've tried to copy again this .cab and rebuild again .iso image. It doesn't work and I get still the same error. If I install the game from the original .iso it works. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64, power iso and nero 9.
Any ideas how to fix it ???

What does this error mean?

Error 1309: Error reading from file H:\Setup\Data\SP\binkw32.dll. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Ive repeated your procedure 2x already step by step. I also remembered to overwrite the .msi file with the custom ones. Labels are also correct. btw, error happens during disk1 installation. I did not install punkbuster. I choose custom install in d: (my c: doenst have enough disk space).

The entire data folder is in disk2. Its supposed to ask for disk2 instead of throwing up the error message. I looked inside your wolfenstein.msi (date stamp 8/19/09 15:14) and it says DiskId: 14, Last Sequence: 2030, Diskprompt WOLF_DVD, blank cab, Volume label:WOLF_DVD. That is supposed to make it ask for the 2nd disk, right?

Dont work this sequence, when asking :insert Disk2 --nothing happends !! :(try 2 times whith new dvdcopies carefuly but!! the same..insert Disk2 --nothing..just rolling back..(the copy from original is carefully right!!)...

when making ISO's of your work, DONT include the folders
temp\WOLF_DVD_1 OR for second dvd temp\WOLF_DVD

Goto folder temp\WOLF_DVD_1 and include everything INSIDE the wolf_dvd_1 folder to make your new iso's. same thing for temp\WOLF_DVD.

Wish peter would stop his use of temp/xxxx/ for making the conversions. More newbies make this error then any other.

It does work.. you've made an error in 1 of the steps, or the naming of the dvd labels.

I do agree with Pakrat - using folder temp\XXX does make it appear that the temp folder is part if ISO. Should exclude TEMP all together.

If u use the msi from peterf the labels are Wolf_DVD (first Disc) and Wolf_DVD_1 (Second). If you want to change the label you have to edit the msi with orca in menu Media.
